Happy B-day

Better late than ever …

As some of you know, my birthday was last August 25.

I know it’s late to give you the inside scoop, but I want to share with you my b-day party

Europe part III

Hey !

God! I need to finish talking about my trip…. There’s too much to say….and I feel really frustrated because I haven’t written in a whole month!!

I forgot to write about some other French small beautiful cities …such as Arles, Avignon and Carcassonne ( where I bought tons of incredible unique jewelry)

Ok…so. Let’s talk about Spain, a country full of happiness and party. I really had fun over there.

We visited cities such as Zaragoza, Puerto Lapice , Torre Molinos, Toledo ( I loved that city is FULL of history), and Cordoba.
Also we went to really important cities, you know: Madrid, Barcelona and Seville.

Seville, is a cute town with great shopping and pretty scenery, were I bought a wonderful red dress that is totally flattering! I wore it to the Flamenco show (which I loved…the music and dance were fantastic)

Madrid is a really big city, we toured around the Spanish capital, and we had the greatest shopping time ever, I literally shopped until I dropped there!
I LOVED that city!!

Barcelona was also a gorgeous place (all the stores were closed because it was Sunday though!!) but I had enough to have fun walking down the “Ramblas” and listening to the interesting facts our guide was telling us …

After Spain we spent a day in Morocco, an amazing country full of culture, I learned tons of things over there.

The best part was when I rode a camel! I also loved the food, and all the cosmetics I bought.

To make it short, I’ll go on with Portugal now, but let me assure you that the Morocco’s wonders are infinite.

In our way to Lisbon we made a quick stop at Evora, a small cute city; and then we arrived at the Portuguese capital that became one of my favorite cities because of its charm.
We also had a one day trip to Sintra, where we ate “quesadas” ..mm delicious!

I had an excellent time and enjoyed my last days in Europe…and without a doubt the shopping was great in Lisbon!

Europe part II

Hi fashion kitties!

This is the second part of my wonderful trip to Europe; I’m going to write about Italy and the Côte d'Azur

After seeing the wonders of Austria we went straight to Italy, going through cities such as Verona, San Francisco de Assisi, San Antonio de Padua, Siena, and obviously Rome, Florence and Venice.

Venice is a wonderful place, even thought I was really disappointed at seeing that my gondolier wasn’t wearing the typical custom! And he didn’t sing…!

But the best of that city was the stylish pair of original Christian Dior sunglasses I bought over there… my best buy in the entire trip! (I know you must be eager to see them, but the glasses deserve a separate post!)

I didn’t stay in a hotel in Venice, but my group and I stayed at a nearby town called Caorle.

Oh god….we had the worst night ever, imagine…the waitress fell in love with our tour director (he is British and damn hot! So I don’t blame her), the hostess was a hysterical witch that shout at us all night long, and a friend’s room flooded!

But after all, I ended up finding it funny, and as another anecdote to tell.

Rome was a really exciting city, with a lot of history in its street, and I must say it wasn’t one of my favorites but the view from behind the Coliseum was totally pretty.

Hahaha and OMG…I remember all the just married couples that were taking their wedding pictures in that zone, they were sooooo cute! But the couple that stole all the attention arrived with a whole clan in motorcycles, and took really funny pictures; ahah I bet it was an unforgettable marital photo shoot.

Ohh and what to say about Florence…. Certainly the best of Italy, a classical city, with cobble stone

streets, and tons of culture, home of my new love affair: David! (ok I’m talking about Michael Angelo’s David….if you have the chance to visit Florence, you MUST see that gorgeous sculpture)

Mmm I think I’m done with Italy, Now lets go to the French Riviera!!

Monaco, Eze, Nimes, Nice,Grasse…

All of those places are full with luxury and glamour, with all the expensive chocolate and perfume factories, the yachts on the pier, the fine designer stores…

Woooowww

Spain, Morrocoo and Portugal will wait for you in the next post!

Byeee

Oh and my b-day was last august 25!! I’ll give you the inside scoop soon!

XOXO

Europe part I

I’m back fashionistas!!!

I know I always promise to write more often, but this time my lack of constancy has a good excuse…I was abroad

In Europe!!!!!

I traveled around the stylish continent for more than a month, and now I’m back with hundreds of stories and ideas for new posts, so I’ll be writing really often until I finish with everything ( that means I wont have to worry about new topics for a while…)

In my trip, I discovered new fashion trends, met new people, lived unique experiences and obviously I had a lot of fun!

The whole adventure started at London, beautiful city I have to say, since the moment I arrive I felt that thrilling city was my home town!.. .The weather was rainy almost all the time, but I love rain, so London it’s a perfect place for me!

The tower of London was the best of the places I visited in the English capital; full of history and it was the place where the Tudors lived, Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII… I’m a fan of that part of history, so you can imagine how excited I was!!

I’m also a fan of Broadway musicals, so it was my duty to attend a musical play in London; I was lucky to see “Wicked” a marvelous combination of adventure, romance and music.

After London, I went in the Eurostar train to Paris; my days in that city were pretty crazy! Too many thing to do, too little time to do them! You know…Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Sacre Coeur .. etc..etc… the typical Parisian tour.

And without a doubt Paris left in me a romantic unique feeling, I’ll be happy to return someday.

Now its time to tell you about a magical place: Switzerland; I arrived there by train, and since I was looking trough the window the astonishing beauty of the Alps stole my heart.

I went to the top of the Mount Pilatus, the view was amazing, and when I went down the mountain and arrived to Lucerne, my soul almost cried of joy, that astonishing city will stay for ever in my memory.

Continuing the trip, I arrived to the Liechtenstein’s capital: Vaduz, I stayed there for an hour or so, to climb a mountain just for seeing the royal palace, it was worth it though (the palace was disappointing but the view amazing).

After Vaduz we went to Austria where we had dinner at the hotel and after that our guide offered us to go for a walk in the cold weather to the mountains, just 3 friends and I accepted, the rest of the group stayed at their rooms sleeping.

Wow, I’m nostalgic now remembering everything from my wonderful trip, I still need to talk about Italy, Spain, Morocco and Portugal, but I’ll leave them for the next post...

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my vacation summary

Till next time fashion lovers!! (Yes this topic wasn’t about fashion, but this is MY blog hehehe and you’ll have to wait until I start talking about the trends I discovered back there in Europe!)

Fashion Dog 2008

Hello my fashionistas! Sorry for taking so long to post this, but you know …I’ve been really busy.

Last week my best friend (hi Mathew!!) and I attended to “Fashion dog” , a really cute fashion show that has the objective of protecting all the dogs, and making sure they have a nice home and a good life condition.

I thought that all the dog’s garments were nice, and some of the outfits the models were wearing too… but they were some exceptions, in my opinion “Tatei’s” collection wasn’t that good, it seemed so plastic-like and tacky.

But the thing I hated the most was the Mexican punctuality, I really don’t intend to make a bad impression about Mexico, but c’mon on, the show started one and a half hour late!

After all , I had a really good time, specially when Jorge Lupercio’s and Sandro Cruz’s collection came down the runway; it was the prettiest ,it had extremely clean looks and well… they had really hot models ( hhaha I mean they were cute and the blond guy seemed really professional)!! In addition, Jorge and Sandro attend yoga lessons with me, so it's an honor to know them (hhah yes… I hope you two guys read this… congratulations, your collection was totally pretty and clean)

OMG and there was this designer, that looked just like Daniel Vosovic, they were so similar, I mean the nose and hair! … also both of them are designers, skinny, gays…haha… and ( *drums!!*!) the two of them are named Daniel!

I was astonished when the designer came down the runway and the host presented him as: Daniel Gonzales (I don’t remember the last name... let’s suppose it was Gonzales hahaha.)…. !! How freaky… too many coincidences for a day… two Daniels that are designers and look physically similar….

Such an experience! I hope I’ll attend to some other fashion shows soon, and for sure, I’ll give you my take on it

Bye bye fashion lovers!!

(Oh I’ll leave the link to Jorge’s & Sandro’s web page….. http://www.jorgelupercio.net/)

Gladiator sandals

Hey there fashion lovers!

I stopped writing for a long time, due to the exams and stuff from school, and now I have too many topics in my head!

I couldn’t resist, and I wrote 2 posts today….haha so here you have my second creation

I’m here with the must have shoes for this summer!

Yes you know…the gladiator sandal, everybody is talking about it, all the celebrities are wearing them, and they are just the latest trend!

And I really don’t want to be trendy, my style is totally unique, but lest accept it, this sandals are so cute!!! Everyone needs a pair of them in their summer wardrobe

But as in everything in fashion, and as in every trend, they are some pieces to die for (because they are just too fashionable and pretty) and they are other pieces to die for too…(But because they are so horrible …that they could make your eyes burn!)

This happens with the gladiator sandals, I have seen some nasty pairs, but I’ve found some wonderful sandals that would look amazingly fashion paired with a nice skirt or flirty dress.

I found some of these cute gladiator sandals in teen vogue magazine

I LOVE the white ones!

OMG and this top shop brown ones, with that skirt and H&M cardigan!! Rawr A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

My fashion angels!! I’ll continue dreaming about dresses, skirts and cute gladiator sandals! Haha meanwhile keep reading me!

Project Runway

OMG I’m totally depressed! Terrible news, Project Runway is moving from the wonderful Bravo to the only-old-ladies-channel Lifetime, what the hell happened!

Here is an extract of what I read:

“The Weinstein Co (PR producers) signed a five-year deal to move the show to Lifetime, a female-geared network owned by The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Corporation.

As such, Bravo owner NBC has filed a lawsuit against the Weinstein Co. But in a statement, the Weinsteins thanked NBC and Bravo for helping the show get to where it is today.”

Grrr I’m so mad! Bravo is an incredible channel, and project runway is just the best of their fabulous shows! , I’m not saying that without project runway Bravo will fail…. Or vice verse …but PR and Bravo are just something that must go together! Like butter and bread….

I’m totally disappointed, Lifetime is a network for old tacky ladies (ok I haven’t seen it but I have heard awful things about the channel)

I found this parody-kind letter, that was hypothetically a letter from Lifetime network to Bravo (obviously it wasn’t, is just for making fun out of this..and showing how horrible will be PR ….hahaha) click on the image to enlarge it...

HAHAHA how horrible…. It is just a parody.. but mmm anything could happen now that project runway is in Lifetime’s hands !!!! waaaaaa Im sacared!

(ok..I liked the idea of Carson Kressly on the show… but not instead of Tim! Both of them are fagalisious! Haahhahahahaha)

Until next time my fashion angles!!!

Fashionable tea time!

Wow that’s amazing, isn’t it?

The perfect combination: fashion and food… two arts that deserve admiration, and admit it, who could resist delicious food? And a nice pair of fashion shoes? (mm Oopsy daisy! Fashion+food= happiness ….hahaha!)

Now all the stylish people (as me...haha ok as me and some of my lovely readers) that love food and fashion can have both of the luxurious pleasures together.
The Berkeley hotel at London, knows how to make the “tea time” a wonderful fashionable experience.

“Prêt-à-Portea”, the fashionista’s afternoon tea, consists of a selection of loose leaf teas and herbal infusions together with a selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches.

Their creations are inspired by each fashion season’s catwalk designs; the hotel owns a patisserie creative director who attends London Fashion Week for inspirations, as well, there is a Prêt-à-Portea committee from fashion publications such as Vogue and Harpers & Queen.

Keep reading me fashion lovers!!! .....
have a classy stylish day

Etoile's new blog and new shoes

Hi fashion lovers!

Welcome to my new blog: The little black blog of etoile

Maybe you are wondering about why I named my blog this way…well

Let me begin explaining it…

As most of you know (ok as most of the fashion concerned people know…I hope you are one of them…) the “little black dress” is the must have item for every stylish woman ( yes I own one.. my super cute little black dress. I love it!)

So... the little black dress is a must… as well as the book written by Nina Garcia (fashion director of ELLE magazine) “The little black book of style” (do you get it? little black dress..little black book…) So I decided naming my site “The little black blog of etoile” cause I’m Etoile! And my blog is a must!

HAHAHAH ok ok… mmm I hope you like my blog, enjoy it, and please don’t lose your personal style cause “fashion fades, style is eternal” YSL and “Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess” Edna Woolman Chase.

It was hard to decide a topic to talk about on my first post, since I have tons of ideas in my head, so I decided to relax a bit and just show you my latest buy: a wonderful pair of red flats from Nine west.

Haha as Christian Siriano (winner of Project Runway 4) says ...they are fierce!

I leave you with some pics

Have a fashion day!
